Hi friend,
You made it to the final email of the Principles of Practice series!
Let’s do a quick recap - because you've just completed the Principles of Practice course, and you now officially can make your colleagues mad at you for being super prepared (jk...obvi).
Here's what you've learned:
Knowing vs. Learning - Knowing is passive. Learning is sweaty, active, physical, and worth it.
Non-Emotional Observation - Treat your practice like an experiment, not a self-bashing session.
The 80/20 Rule - Target the stuff that matters most. Stop fixing everything all at once. Save yourself from the overwhelm that leads to procrastination and burnout.
Choice - Practice is where we make decisions. Performance is where we trust them. Put yourself in the driver's seat.
I built these principles over years of fest contracts, role debuts, career burnout, full houses, empty houses, and a LOT of trial and error. If they helped you even a little, then you might be interested in:

📆 The 30-Day Vocal Exercise Challenge – Coming soon. One email per day, one exercise, real transformation. Be first to know.
If you’ve already signed up for the Challenge list? I see you. I've already started filming the exercises and you can expect my unhinged energy, questionable camera work, BUT... some really great vocal exercises and how to squeeze them for every last drop. And if you already have the PJM? Look out for another discount code in your inbox when the course drops.
Please forward this email to a friend who’s still stuck in the “I just sing through my arias and hope for the best” phase.
📩 And hit reply or tag me on IG- what did this course open up for you? What shifted in how you think about your work? I want to hear from you!
You’re not just a singer. You’re a builder of skill, a shaper of sound, and a total badass.
Stay in tune (plz),
Martha
